My eldest will be attending high school next year and my youngest will begin 6th grade. However, even with teachers who try their best, my youngest is struggling in his charter school. His IEP is just paper work that we return to annually. He cannot complete assignments in the rigid environment set and when he does complete assignments they do not count because the handwriting is not neat enough, he did not line up the paragraphs along the margin, or he simply tuned out after sitting in the classroom so long.
He is no longer allowed to take books to read at school because he is distracted when the teacher is teaching her whole group lesson. He has difficulty focusing with the noise of 28 children (18 of which are boys). He is often sent to the directors office so she can make him complete his work.
I will home school my son next year and am thrilled to provide a successful, warm, learning environment in which your child can also thrive. I invite you to become part of our home schooling family.
